Position Summary
The Senior Vice President of Investment Operations Oversight will lead the design, execution, and evolution of the firm's global middle office operating model. This executive-level role is responsible for ensuring that operational infrastructure supports the firm's complex investment strategies across public and private markets. The SVP will drive strategic vendor partnerships, design and enforce enterprise-wide controls, oversee multi-asset post-trade processes, and lead transformation initiatives focused on scale, automation, and resiliency. This is a highly visible leadership role requiring a forward-thinking operations executive who combines deep domain expertise with the ability to collaborate across front office, technology, risk, compliance, and finance teams.
Essential Duties
Strategic Leadership & Oversight
Architect and lead the firm's global middle office operations oversight framework, with accountability for vendor service delivery, risk mitigation, and control effectiveness.
- Serve as a thought partner within the Investment Operations leadership team on scaling operational capabilities to support business growth, market expansion, and evolving product complexity.
- Lead global governance of outsourced middle office services, including SLA/KPI management, executive-level vendor reviews, and operational risk escalation.
Operational Excellence & Control
- Own the integrity and performance of outsourced post-trade operations including trade confirmation, settlement, corporate actions, interest claims, reconciliations, and collateral processes.
- Establish and maintain a robust control environment, ensuring all processes meet regulatory requirements, internal audit standards, and business continuity objectives.
- Regularly assess operational risk exposure and implement control enhancements to address gaps, emerging risks, or audit findings.
Process & Technology Transformation
- Lead multi-year operational improvement initiatives, including automation of trade lifecycle events, integration of new asset classes, and optimization of reconciliation and settlement workflows.
- Partner with Technology, Data, and Investment teams to evaluate and deploy systems, tools, and data strategies that enhance operating efficiency and transparency.
- Drive innovation through collaboration with vendors and fintech platforms to adopt next-generation capabilities such as real-time processing, exception-based workflows, and smart workflows.
Stakeholder Partnership & Cross-Functional Leadership
- Act as the senior liaison to Portfolio Management, Trading, Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Client Operations to support investment strategies, client mandates, and new product onboarding.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance IBOR processes and middle office service provider workflows to drive efficiency and achieve optimal operational outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA, CFA, or FRM strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 10-15 years of investment operations experience, including significant leadership experience at an asset manager, hedge fund, or alternative investment firm.
- Deep knowledge of the full trade lifecycle for equities, fixed income, FX, derivatives, private credit, and structured products.
Professional Skills Qualifications
- Proven success managing outsourced operational functions, with accountability for vendor performance, compliance, and issue resolution.
- Strong expertise in establishing robust control environment aligned with SOC1 standards, internal compliance policies, and business continuity requirements.
- Demonstrated experience leading transformation initiatives across technology, process reengineering, and service model redesign.
- Excellent executive communication skills and ability to influence senior leaders across business, risk, and infrastructure teams.

- Proficiency in key systems such as Aladdin, Bloomberg, CTM, AcadiaSoft, TradeWeb, and FailStation; openness to emerging technologies.
Estimated Compensation: Base Salary: For CA based position, the base salary range is $195k to $225k. This is an anticipated range only.
