Job Description:

The Microchip Systems division is seeking an experienced professional to join the System Operations Planning and Logistics team at our Mount Holly Springs Facility. The ideal candidate will be pursuing a degree in Supply Chain or Management Information Systems, with coursework related to material planning, warehouse management, and information systems. This role offers the opportunity to work cross-functionally with Operations, Purchasing, and Quality to achieve business goals and participate in continuous improvement projects across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilizing the MRP system to run the daily kitting dispatch and review for shortages. Additionally following up on shortages with planning and purchasing includes taking tactical actions that suite the production plans.
  • Performing steps weekly to run reports, transfer material from the warehouse to production floor as needed for production work orders, and assist with cycle counts
  • Execute actions related to NCMRs, expired materials, and follow up on actions from engineering changes and deviations during the manufacturing implementation stage
  • Logistically support material handling and system requirements of Agile Switch platform
  • Perform inventory reservations (hard allocations) as material arrives to support homogenous orders
  • Intra-company processing of transfer orders outbound and internal site transfers
  • Create shipment authorizations and follow up on parts loading in the shipment authorization for shipments.
  • Resolving delivery/receiving discrepancies for any process returns to vendors (RTV & Return to intra/intercompany) for all assigned items, including creating non-standard work orders.
  • Create production orders for stock retest orders, quarterly quality retention, and qualifications (QPL).
  • Monitor and communicate excess yield of finished goods for timely offering of stock to the sales teams at time of shipment.
  • Place planned purchase orders for bench stock as directed by the production line lead. Make suggestions for min/max procurement activities.
  • Approve issuance of material more than current production work orders based on MRP system risk evaluation (Green Card).
  • Collaborate with colleagues at other sites and divisions to standardize processes and drive improvements.
  • Participate in internal audits and ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and corporate policies

Perform any other job-related functions as assigned

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of industry experience in warehousing / shipping/receiving / distribution.
  • Previous experience using ERP/MRP systems; Microsoft AX experience preferred.
  • Must be a US Person due to exposure to components and documentation regulated by ITAR
  • Previous experience participating in process improvement projects
  • Previous experience in managing manufacturing processes related to scheduling activities.
  • Sound knowledge of supply chain processes and procedures including manufacturing planning, demand, and replenishment processes.
  • Strategic thinker, strong analytical skills, able to synthesize considerable and complex data.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel desired).
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to reason and influence at all levels.
  • Strong communication and organization skills.
  • Strong problem solving and analysis skills.
  • Ability to understand customer demand and how to alter production to meet demand as well as an ability to manage complexity and resolve conflicts that arise from balancing multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work in a team setting and in a cross-functional environment.
  • Lean/Six Sigma experience a plus
