A Brief Overview

The Lead Sales Audit Associate will be responsible for overseeing the Company's Sales Audit process including reviewing and analyzing multiple sources of sales audit data to identify errors and exceptions and reporting on activities in the Sales Audit processes. This includes ensuring all sales data is properly reported in the Company's ledger; retail store deposit accounts are accurate; and assisting the various stakeholders in issue resolution relating to general sales audit questions, credit card and cash sales transactions. This role will be responsible for the month end financial close process and provide backup support to the treasury team.

What you will do

  • Own the reconciliation of daily sales. Prepare and analyze reports for management and communicate findings.

  • Reconciliation of daily customer credit card activity

  • Participates in month-end close which includes preparing month end journal entries related to sales audit processes. Completes monthly balance sheet reconciliations of corporate accounts (including fluctuation explanations) and reports to field management regarding sales audit issues outstanding.

  • Develops and analyzes ad hoc reports. Collaborates with team to design and maintain KPI data & dashboards to provide real-time insights into key operational trends.

  • Review designated AR accounts and assign appropriate general ledger and cost center information.

  • Partner with AP to resolve returned checks and unclaimed funds.

  • Provide support, guidance and coaching to other junior sales audit associates.

What you will bring

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required

  • 4-6 years Required

  • Previous accounting experience or knowledge

  • Knowledge of company revenue and tender systems, bank reconciliations, accounting, sales audit theory

  • Intermediate Excel skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail - ability to identify errors and ensure accuracy in reports and reconciliations

  • Strong problem-solving skills - ability to move with pace and resolve issues timely

  • Process improvement skills
