Your Role:

The cost accounting analyst position is responsible for the ongoing analysis of manufacturing processes, client projects, margin analysis, and tracing costs back to underlying activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Implement and maintain system of Cost Accounting for manufacturing and projects to provide an appropriate level of costing information to management.
  • Collect data to determine costs of the entire business activities such as raw materials, inventory, labor and overhead costs.
  • Calculate standard costs for semi-finished and finished products. Review standard and actual costs variances using SAP-ERP.
  • Create and review the controls needed for data accumulation and reporting systems.
  • Work with Operations, Manufacturing and Project Management departments to locate and dispose of obsolete inventory.
  • Coordinate physical inventory counts and cycle counts using SAP-ERP and HQ strategies.
  • Investigate cycle counting variances and resolve issues.
  • Analyze actual manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
  • Provide management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting pricing and profitability of products or projects.
  • Report on periodic variances and their causes, focusing in particular on spending variances * Accurately prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
  • Assist in month-end close of the General Ledger and prepare Journal Entries as necessary.
  • Work and coordinate activities in accordance with HQ accounting policies.
  • Other tasks as assigned.


Requirements:



  • Bachelor's Degree Accounting and sound GAAP understanding; 5+ years of accounting/finance experience with a minimum of 3 years of Cost Accounting in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • ERP-SAP working knowledge in the FI/CO module.
  • Strong Excel skills as well as experience with other MS Office products.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Ability to work with large databases.
  • Ability to collaborate with a multi-department team.
  • Ability to work as needed to meet deadlines.

The anticipated base salary range has been established at $93,100 - $125,900/year. The hiring range for this position is expected to fall between $93,100 - $109,500/year, reflecting the range candidates can reasonably expect to be considered for at time of offer, based on factors such as experience, internal equity, and qualifications.

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of considerations, including but not limited to internal equity, experience, education, specialization, skills, abilities, and training. The above range represents the Company's good faith and reasonable estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting.

In addition to your salary, the Company offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, vision, and dental insurance, as well as a 401(k) plan. All benefits are subject to eligibility requirements. Certain positions may also be eligible for additional compensation such as bonuses or commissions.
