The Position

The Opportunity

Join our dynamic Translational Immunology department as a Scientist 2. The successful candidate will become a member of an in-vivo biology team in Translational Immunology. The team, in collaboration with the scientific staff of the Immunology Discovery, is responsible for developing and optimizing different respiratory disease and tissue regeneration animal models and utilizing the animal models to identify and validate new drug targets, and to evaluate therapeutic candidates for efficacy and pharmacokinetic analyses.

The primary responsibilities of the team include:

  • Developing and optimizing respiratory disease and tissue regeneration animal models.

  • Utilizing these models to identify and validate new drug targets.

  • Assessing the efficacy of therapeutic candidates and performing pharmacokinetic analyses.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Immunology or related fields with at least 3 years hands on small lab animal in vivo experience or a Masters' of Science degree in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Immunology or related fields with at least 1 year hands on small lab animal in vivo experience or equivalent experience.

  • You will have expertise with handling, inoculations, and sampling in small lab animal species.

  • Solid in vitro techniques, such as ELISA, flow cytometry, and other molecular biology techniques.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as a team member are essential.

  • Good communication skills and willingly to work with multiple groups.

Preferred

  • Previous experience with respiratory like COPD or asthma animal models is a plus.

  • Besides animal models, candidates having ELISA, flow cytometry and in vitro expertise is a plus.

  • The ability to design and carry out in vivo studies independently is highly desirable.

Relocation benefits are not available for this posting.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California is $83,800 to $155,600. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
