Spectra Tech, Inc. is hiring for a Principal Construction Coordinator in Aiken, South Carolina. DUTIES: Interface with facility management for work scope, estimate approvals and funding distribution and with project controls and construction execution for scope development, estimate preparation and approval and construction planning. Coordinate all aspects of assigned complex construction projects and maintenance orders to their overall successful completion by ensuring that construction efficiency is optimized from conceptual design to financial closing. Review and evaluate labor and material cost reports and identify positive and negative variances to total budgets and annual operating plans. Validate alignment of technical scope with baseline schedule and project/CMO estimate for constructability and approval of baseline schedule and estimates. Participate in establishment and approval of technical, schedule and cost baselines for projects and CMO's. Perform comprehensive review and evaluation of preliminary scope, design, schedules, and estimates for new projects to determine constructability and accuracy. Through use of experience and knowledge while monitoring progress of projects and maintenance orders, identify problems/potential problems to the technical/cost/schedule baselines and implement the necessary corrective actions. Interface with project management, DOE, design, procurement, field management and superintendents at different team levels to accomplish milestones in a safe and cost effective manner. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE OR An associate's degree and 13-15 years of practical experience would be considered equivalent.
