Posting Summary
The Graves laboratory in the Department of Psychology at Rutgers University-Newark seeks a Post-Doctoral Associate. The Post-Doctoral Associate, will design, organize, and conduct highly specialized and advanced experiments using established scientific protocols and procedures and, in some cases, designing new protocols; summarize findings and publish results in research journals; assume general responsibility for scientific operations of the laboratory; and provide supervision and guidance to junior technicians, students, and researchers.

Duties will include overseeing grant-funded research pertaining to the computational basis of reading and acquired reading impairments at the Rutgers site, under Dr. William Graves' supervision.
1. Designing and implementing computational models.
2. Designing experiments and study materials.
3. Recruiting participants.
4. Supervising data collection and analyzing data.
5. Interpreting findings.
6. Creating presentations and papers to submit to conferences and journals.
7. Creating and maintaining a database related to participant recruitment.
8. Assisting in organizing undergraduates for helping with laboratory activities.
9. Contributing as an author to papers for publication.
10. Other research and lab duties may be assigned to help enhance the productivity of the lab.
11. Collecting, analyzing, and writing up data for publication.
12. Mentoring both undergraduate and graduate students involved in lab projects.

This is a grant-funded appointment that is contingent upon the availability of funds to support it.
