Overview:

Senior Director leads the development and coordinates comprehensive service line programs within the care delivery system and health plan services. Facilitates conversation with physicians, medical group, hospital and service line leadership to develop, coordinate, and implement service line programs. The senior director incorporates the financial, operational, care delivery system, clinical outcomes, implementation strategy, and provides updates regarding program results. Facilitates the execution of system wide One Sentara strategies and promotes the Sentara culture by being consistent, dependable, collaborating with colleagues and stakeholder, encouraging and acknowledging ideas, as well as modeling the commitment to professional growth and development. The senior director identifies opportunities based upon market data, national trends, and regional strategic plans while ensuring strategic plans remain relevant, useful and support the community needs. Key goals include strengthening the Sentara brand as a specialty destination of excellence and increasing market share; achievement of service line goals, productivity optimization and revenue enhancement; and leading patient/customer initiatives to support superior patient experience(s) within an integrated, state of the art, care delivery system.

Education:

  • Master level degree (Required)

Experience:

  • 7 years of Healthcare Leadership

  • 4 years of Service Line experience

  • Leadership within Cardiology and Cardiac Services

  • Multispecialty medical group or hospital system experience

  • Development of long range strategic plans across matrixes

  • Proven ability to develop strong physician relationships/alignment and integration efforts across highly competitive, disparate, unique and diverse markets

  • Experience conducting transformation initiatives for similar sized system(s) across a key service line, with history of developing physician leaders/advocates in assisting with coordination of care.
