*Description*
RUSH Medical Center is looking for a Data Center Engineer whose primary role will be servicing, monitoring and maintaing RUSH's enterprise network. Other duties will include: o Review system messages, inspect equipment, and report issues to ensure hardware functionality and minimize downtime. o Familiarity with monitoring tools (solarwinds) monitoring or any software/ hardware failures and data center cooling, AC, humidity, fire panels, etc. o Familiarity with network equipment, including routers, switches, and firewalls, ensuring reliable connectivity o Forecast resource requirements and coordinate with teams to scale data center operations based on evolving needs. o Troubleshoot and respond to critical failures and emergencies, addressing hardware, network, or software issues and escalating when necessary. o Develop and execute disaster recovery and backup plans to protect data and ensure business continuity during emergencies o Maintain documentation of equipment, incidents, and maintenance activities, keeping records up to date for audit and troubleshooting purposes. o Monitor power distribution and cooling systems to maintain optimal environmental conditions, ensuring energy efficiency and system reliability o Prepare assets for disposal or relocation as needed, following established processes for decommissioning hardware. o Create and assist with incident tickets, providing technical support and problem resolution in coordination with other IT teams. *Skills* Data center, monitoring tools, solarwinds, cooling, noc, Data center maintenance, Cable, Cabling, Hardware troubleshooting, Racking, Stacking *Top Skills Details* Data center,monitoring tools,solarwinds,cooling,noc,Data center maintenance *Additional Skills & Qualifications* Candidates need to be team players and have solid communication skills. Candidates should be flexible and be able to cover other shifts when needed. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
