What You'll Do:



  • Supervise all employees and movement of storage and shipping department throughout Lakeside of Owatonna.
  • Supervise janitors
  • Supervise dent sorting, stripping of product and other rework projects to ensure they are being done correctly and within a timely manner.
  • Supervise lakeside semi drivers.
  • Ensure customer orders are being picked and shipping by hourly employees each day.
  • Ensure all MSS sheets for all docks and janitors.
  • Communication and organization of drop trailers.
  • Completing Monthly and yearly cycle counts or as needed/asked.
  • Completing inventory checks to ensure supplies are ordered on time.
  • Assist with New Pack holds and organization of the QA hold area.
  • Travel from main warehouse to outside warehouse facility throughout each day.
  • Completing daily reports, log sheets or other paperwork that is needed by manager.
  • Maintain open communications with all Manager and corporate office.
  • Training of employees.
  • Ensure semi drivers are utilizing company time by setting their routes each day.
  • Assist in supervising clerical staff.
  • Cross train and assist labeling supervisor as needed.
  • Adhere to all Lakeside Foods policies and procedures.
  • May perform other duties as assigned by the warehouse manager/Assistant Manager.
  • Notify manager immediately if any unsafe or potentially hazardous conditions are discovered.


What You'll Bring:



  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, and volume
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of identified variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Through individual and team efforts, enthusiastically work toward the continuous improvement of his/her job, work area, department and Lakeside as a whole. Fully participate in TAL by "living" Lakeside's Standards of Conduct and being an active member of operational and project teams. By action and work, clearly and visibly demonstrate the spirit of teamwork, cooperation and respect for others in all business transactions and exchanges.
