Position Title: Behavioral Health Therapist - Substance Use Disorders

Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Program Manager, the Behavioral Health Therapist provides direct therapeutic services, including individual counseling, group education, and family therapy, to individuals experiencing substance use disorders. The role also involves comprehensive case management to support patients and their families on their path to recovery.

Qualifications & Competencies:

A. Education:




  • Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or a closely related field.




B. Knowledge:




  • Solid understanding of therapeutic modalities and best practices in individual, group, and family counseling within substance use or mental health treatment settings.




C. Skills:




  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with patients, healthcare providers, internal teams, and external organizations.



  • Proficiency in clinical documentation and written communication.




D. Licensure/Certification:




  • Must hold an active license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Social Worker (LSW).




E. Experience:




  • Minimum of two years of experience in substance use treatment or a related behavioral health setting (experience may include pre-licensure or during graduate training).
