ABOUT THE JOB:

The VP, Sales will oversee performance, development, and alignment of sales teams to deliver best-in-class customer experience and drive revenue growth. As a key member of the division leadership team, you will report directly to the SVP, Divisional General Manager, and collaborate with senior leaders across departments to shape company strategy and execution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES OF THIS ROLE INCLUDE:

  • Developing and executing a comprehensive, data driven sales and marketing strategy aligned with organizational goals.
  • Providing executive oversight of divisional sales teams (Outside Sales, Inside Sales, Account Management, Product Sales, etc.).


    • Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing sales team.
    • Foster a culture of innovation, adaptability, and continuous improvement within the sales organization.
    • Set clear performance expectations and oversee (and provides as needed) on-going and extensive coaching, training, and feedback to the sales staff, managers and sellers.
    • Proactively develop robust succession plans and territory coverage plans.


  • Developing and elevate sales managers and front-line talent.


    • Identify and coach high-potential sales managers and reps for leadership roles through targeted coaching, mentorship, and succession planning.
    • Utilize a team of Commercial Excellence Managers to provide commercial coaching, training, and guidance to market leadership.


  • Leading the transformation of sales processes and infrastructure to enhance productivity, customer engagement, and scalable growth.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs across sales team channels and ensure continuous optimization.
  • Responsible for achieving and delivering sales goals established for each seller, while ensuring superior customer service that aligns with Willscot's mission, visions, and goals.
  • Leading quarterly and annual sales planning, revenue forecasting, and budget management.
  • Driving key performance metrics to achieve company revenue goals.
  • Leverage data analytics, customer insights, project databases, and target account lists to make data-driven decisions and continually refine sales strategies.
  • Partner with Enterprise, Inside Sales, Commercial Excellence, and other Divisional Commercial Leaders to drive improvements in overall commercial coverage, processes, KPIs, commission plans, and tools/systems.

SKILLS + EXPERIENCE:

  • 12+ years of progressive sales leadership experience including managing multiple sales roles, in person and remote teams across disperse geographies.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, sales, marketing, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven success in leading large, high-performing hybrid sales teams in high-growth environment
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and ability to translate vision into actionable plans
  • Strong analytical skills and experience leveraging data to drive decisions
  • Experience in a relevant Industry (e.g., equipment rentals, commercial real estate, facility & asset management, logistics, industrial and manufacturing or construction-related industry)
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to innovate and adapt to a rapidly changing sales landscape.
