Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Temporary Research Assistant within the School of Public Health, located in Newark, NJ. The Temporary Research Assistant, under the supervision of Dr. Mobolaji Ibitoye, will support data analysis for ongoing research projects addressing the sexual, reproductive, and maternal health needs of underserved populations. The Temporary Research Assistant will also work on IRB protocols and assist with the preparation of research abstracts, manuscripts, and presentations.

Duties include:

  • Assists with coding of interview transcripts and analysis of qualitative data.
  • Conduct statistical analysis.
  • Assists with data extraction.

Salary Details $25/hour
Minimum Salary 15.49
Mid Range Salary 75.00
Maximum Salary 150.00

Minimum Education and Experience
Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Prior coursework/training in qualitative research methods
  • Quantitative analysis skills with prior training in biostatistics
  • Must be detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently with appropriate guidance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree
  • Prior experience in qualitative data analysis outside the classroom
  • Proficient in using NVivo or Dedoose
  • Prior experience in statistical analysis outside the classroom
  • Proficient in Stata or other statistical software
  • Interest in sexual, reproductive, and maternal health/global health
