How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

The Civil-Structural Manager should have a PE and at least ten years of design and project engineering experience in an EPC setting. Responsibilities are varied and include managing the CIvil & Structural team as well as preparing and providing estimates, scope of work documents, technical reviews, PE Sealing, analysis and design - and input for Proposal/Geotechnical Investigation, Engineering, Bid and Construction phases. Additionally, C-S Manager provides support to proposal, project and engineering teams in developing and implementing site-specific civil-structural design methodology, estimates, and scope of works with Air Liquide budget and schedule in mind.

Emphasis is on Industrial Civil-Structural Design & Experience in North America and the ability to work with Air Liquide Global Centers and Air Liquide business entities, to facilitate technical know-how across groups, execute projects, and manage personnel.

* Manage the resources of the Civil & Structural discipline to complete the proposal and project deliverables in budget and baseline schedule.

* Support the development, improvement and implementation of working

procedures, tools and best practices for civil and structure discipline in alignment with other E&C Centers and insure their implementation;

* Manage the engineering activities by spreading/sharing methodologies/work processes, coaching and motivating the team.

* Support project development during proposal in defining the codes and standards and estimating quantities for civil scope of work.

* Leading a Project and performing the following activities

  • Preparing a scope for work for geotechnical, topographical surveys and reviewing the same for civil design

  • Understanding the Drainage, SWPPP requirements for projects and review of the same.

  • Perform /Review engineering and design as required for civil-structural design typical for industrial infrastructure and plant construction

  • Interface and expedite outside EPC/engineering entities to perform to Air Liquide scope, budget and schedule.

  • Collaborate with in-house Engineering Delivery team and other E&C Centers as well as third-party contractors and firms.

  • Assist project and construction team in resolving civil-structural issues as they arise during engineering and construction.

  • Facilitate working relationships between Global Centers

  • Facilitate meetings, discussion and between various parties to deliver engineering

  • PE Seal & provide responsible charge duties for civil-structural scope

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

* Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with PE or equivalent experience in civil engineering and design, including ability to get PEs by comity or reciprocity in other states

* Minimum 10 years experience in an EPC setting

* Travel on an average 25% to project locations and engineering offices as required

* Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection

* Current TX Professional Engineering License

* Ability to understand, interpret and implement local regulations pertaining to temporary and permanent detention, retention, sediment basins

* Design of Concrete Structures & Piles as required

* Design of Steel Structures and Anchorage as required

* Use of AutoCAD, SmartPlant Review and Navisworks.

* Familiarity with Civil-3D, StormCAD, HEC-RAS, Atlas 14 (Texas) etc

* Capability with Structural Design Programs Such as STAAD, Mat3D

* Ability to use standard and national building codes (IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC etc) for design, population of site data sheets, and more

* Be motivated, proactive and willing to take on new challenges

* Support and liaise with a wide variety of people and teams

* Be able to work with Google Suite of products

* Work both independently and manage a team.

* Exercise independent judgment and ownership using technical knowledge

* Have strong attention to detail with emphasis on organization

* Work under deadline pressure

* Be able to communicate effectively within the office and externally with clients and contractors
