Description
Provide management, support and delivery of network systems for a university medical system. Oversee implementation and support of network equipment, network software, daily operational incidents, service request tickets, and network break/fix support, incident escalation, network maintenance and network and maintenance support. Oversee enterprise project deliverables, project tasks, project documentation, build, installation, performance monitoring, optimization, troubleshooting and maintenance of a variety of systems of the network and network firewall. Build, install, monitor, optimize, troubleshoot, maintain and document a variety of systems of the network. Assess production network configurations and network health, identify issues, and recommend remediation actions. Participate in network hardware refresh, new network segment builds, and WAN clinic builds. Perform network monitoring configuration, addition, deletions, and changes for enterprise monitoring platforms as necessary to resolve problems and improve quality and performance. Provide technical expertise advising customers on solutions to technical issues and challenges. Ensure that policies, standards, procedures, and how-to documents are utilized and followed. Provide day-to-day support of the 24 x 7 production enterprise environment, including core distribution, wired and wireless access layers, cloud technologies, IPAM, DHCP, AAA, VoIP systems, WAN, Firewall/VPN and network monitoring. Document all aspects of IT network operations, including implementation procedures, operational documentation, support policies and procedures, and disaster recovery procedures.

Annual rage: $119,434 to $256,900/year Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, electronics engineering, electrical engineering or an IT related field. Seven years of experience in job offered, or as a network engineer, firewall engineer or a related occupational title. Demonstrated experience designing and administering enterprise IP networks utilizing routing protocols OSPF and BGP. Demonstrated experience designing and administering layer 2 switched networks, leveraging protocols including 802.1q VLAN trunking and spanning-tree, and deploying port level security protocols such as MAC security or Network Access Control. Demonstrated experience administering Palo Alto and Cisco Firewalls in a corporate environment. Experience analyzing complex end-user business needs and devising effective and cost effective recommendations. Demonstrated experience writing clear, precise, detailed, comprehensive and grammatically correct letters, memos, reports, policies and procedures. Experience working with staff and management at all levels of an organization. Experience working and prioritizing multiple tasks simultaneously. Demonstrated experience Working independently and in a team-oriented environment with minimal direction. Experience conducting research and testing new technologies and processes. Demonstrated knowledge of DNS, DHCP, IP, ARP, UDP and TCP/IP. Demonstrated experience in data networking including IP route/switch based network design; testing and implementing OSI sever layer model. Experience working with the following industry protocols including OSPF, HSRP, EIGRP, BGP, UDP, TCP/IP, Multicast, 802.1x, IPSec, Radius, TACACS+. Demonstrated experience utilizing network protocol analyzers and sniffers including WireShark, Netscout or Fluke tools. Demonstrated ability to decipher packet captures. Demonstrated experience and knowledge of IEEE 802.11 wireless standards and centralized wireless controllers. Demonstrated experience working with support systems for network management including knowledge of Voice technologies, IP switching and routing architectures supporting VoIP and ISP services. Demonstrated experience working with VLAN, VRF, HSRP, Port Security, Traffic Shaping, Priority Queuing, Class of Service (CoS). |
