Job title: Junior Technical Project Manager Current Need: As a Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting organizational capabilities and driving business transformation. You will oversee critical projects and operations, focusing on delivery and outcomes. Collaborating with key members and leadership team, you will identify gaps, consult on tactical business needs, and evaluate existing capabilities to inform strategic decisions. You'll be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive processes plans, establishing new ways of working, and building new capabilities. This Service Leader serves as a key technology partner and focal leader for multi-disciplinary technology initiatives serving this business unit. This position is responsible for ensuring that technology products and client services are operationally aligned with industry best practices, optimized for efficiency, and positioned to support the organization's strategic goals. Key Responsibilities Project Management
- Work with Program Managers and Product Leads to build out and maintain the integrated program/project schedule using specified project management tools
- Support PM in tracking progress of activities/milestones
- Assist in managing and facilitating program/project scheduling and data tracking to enhance project quality and process consistency
- Own and create content for Quarterly Business Review (QBR) and Management Business Review (MBR) as appropriate with relevant information to executive leadership
- Establish strong relationships across technology leadership; engage and align key stakeholders; establish cadence and agenda for key leadership meetings.
- Schedule key program/project-related meetings and capture minutes for relevant program/project meetings
- Set up, manage and maintain program/project status as per agreed to plan (including meeting minutes, RAID, status reports, project permissions, etc.)
- Assist in preparation of key status reports for relevant program/project meetings (Core, MT, PMO, Steering Committee, etc.)
- Examine program/project documentation/data for completeness and accuracy
- Maintain and report on program/project Budget and Actuals by coordinating with the Project Financial Analyst and Program/Project Manager
- Assist in execution of all communications internal to the project team (excluding the communications managed by Marketing and Communication Services)
- Utilize PlanView software to create and manage portfolio-level data, visualizations and dashboards that provide insights into project performance, resource allocation, and strategic alignment
- Produce regular and ad hoc reporting in the form of required dashboard reports, as per requirements (Impact/Priority, Key Leadership updates, etc.)
- Manage resource allocation and maintain record of people and skills across projects, ensuring optimal utilization
- Collaborate with Technical Product Owners to create and maintain catalog of training materials, manuals, and resources that are engaging, and informative
- Continuously assess and evaluate the effectiveness of existing training programs and make necessary adjustments to improve outcomes
- Monitor and track training metrics to measure the success and impact of training initiatives
Vendor Management
- Maintain relationship with vendors and Managed Service Providers (MSP) to measure delivery of outsourced services and solutions in line with established KPIs, KRAs, SLAs, performance guarantees and other metrics.
- Support market tenders, including drafting and launching RF(x) processes and evaluating supplier selections with cross-functional teams
- Assist and support sourcing initiatives including:
- Software development lifecycle activities
- Product development
- Testing and test automation
- Production support and maintenance
- Track delivery impediments, risks, issues, and changes tied to the programs/initiatives
- Contribute to drive continuous improvement in service delivery through regular review and optimization of processes and tools.
Critical Skills
- Outstanding relationship skills with strong executive presence.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills (written and verbal). A natural storyteller with the ability to pull together observed insights, leadership feedback, data and insights into easy-to-follow presentations and artifacts.
- Strong knowledge of ITIL or similar service management frameworks.
- Manage financial tasks, such as budget reconciliation, accounting, and data analysis
- Experience with industry standard tools like (but not limited to) Jira, Workday and Planview
- Excellent influencing skills, with experience delivering solutions in a changing environment.
- Work closely with third-party managed services providers and internal teams.
- Collaborate globally to achieve targets on throughput and accuracy
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to navigate through a complex and matrixed organization
- Demonstrated ability to provide thought leadership, think strategically, and influence cross-functionally.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 8+ years of project management experience
- 3+ years of experience in transformative engagements
- Proven track record of managing large-scale technology platform and product services programs in a global organization.
- Basic experience in software development or programming lifecycle
- Exposure to Azure, Google Cloud, and cloud specific PaaS and SaaS solutions
Education
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience);
- Advanced degree or professional certifications in program management or related areas preferred.
