Job Description

Job Summary:

The principal enterprise systems analyst at Mercury Systems is responsible to implement acquisitions and improve functionality throughout the enterprise. This role is part of the Mercury team, that enhances the business systems that support Mercury mission to transform through advanced technology. This role is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying custom applications within ERP and other connected manufacturing-related systems. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure the development of effective solutions that meet business needs.

Job Responsibilities:



  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders in creating and maintaining process maps
  • Working closely with the Project Management team in providing regular updates on project updates to senior leadership team
  • Supporting and developing both existing and new ERP customizations and integrations
  • Play a crucial role in the early stages of new site implementations, ensuring data integrity through the extraction of data from other ERP systems and providing mapping and reporting tools
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather, analyze, and document ERP business requirements for all end-to-end processes in the business
  • Conducting in-depth analysis of ERP systems and other bolt on applications like FactoryLogix, Deltek/Cobra, time entry, salesforce, data warehouse etc. and identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Creating and maintaining process maps and work instructions to support communications, training, and change management initiatives
  • Analyzing manufacturing workflows, identifying bottlenecks, and recommending process improvement
  • Position will require some occasional travel to different Mercury locations


Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Typically requires 8+ years of prior experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in manufacturing, defense, or other data compliance driven industries
  • Experience with ERP support: ticketing systems, reporting, support project hyper care, and then acting as the key contact for ERP support to the business
  • Technical and functional experience in any ERP including implementation and enhancement experience, or similar ERP experience with Oracle, SAP with a focus on Manufacturing
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience translating business needs into technical requirements and hands on technical skills
  • Understanding of defense manufacturing processes, shopfloor manufacturing tools, including master data management, order management, production planning, materials management, quality, inventory control, engineering project management, and finance
  • Manufacturing Data: Contribute to the design, testing, and maintenance of manufacturing-related master data, including items, specifications, routings, formulas, process instructions, process variables, and workforce information
  • Project management skills, proficiency in requirements analysis and process mapping tools/methodologies using process flows tools
  • and working knowledge of Microsoft tools (MS Project, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, JIRA, ETL tools) and familiarity with Project Platforms
