Job Duties
The East Carolina University College of Nursing is currently seeking applications for a faculty position with expertise in graduate-level nursing education. Faculty responsibilities include planning, teaching, and evaluating graduate-level nursing courses. This faculty position will be accountable for teaching courses in the graduate core and courses in the faculty's specialty area. The position may also involve teaching courses in other College of Nursing departments.

Contingent upon availability of funds.
Minimum Education/Experience
Minimum Qualifications Include:

  • Requires a doctorate degree in nursing or a related field from an appropriately accredited institution.
  • A valid non-restricted North Carolina nursing license is required upon employment.
  • Certification in faculty's specialty area is required for all advanced practice nurse applicants.
  • A minimum of two years of clinical practice in a specialty area is required.

License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation
A valid non-restricted North Carolina nursing license is required upon employment. Certification in faculty's specialty area is required for all advanced practice nurse applicants.
Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education
A terminal degree in nursing or related field is preferred. Preference will be given to applicants with recent nursing education experience.
