THE ROLE

We're looking for a Senior Director, Cognizant Consulting, who can deliver within Cognizant's Five Pillars of Consulting Excellence, which are: 1) Project Execution, 2) Expertise, 3) Business Development, 4) Practice Development, & 5) People Development. As the Senior Director, this means overseeing advisory consulting engagements, being a trusted advisor to clients, establishing oneself as a thought leader in your field, solving complex problems, consultatively working with a client to achieve business goals, driving contributions to offerings and innovations, and serving as a people leader, guiding multiple teams as they work to transform a client and the world. We're looking for a Digital Transformation Senior Director to join us as we help companies thrive in the digital era by establishing the key strategic direction and capabilities needed for successful transformation. Implementing an effective digital strategy across front-, middle- and back-office IT environments is crucial to staying relevant. Yet, the urgent need to create and act on a digital strategy gives rise to a host of complex problems that enterprises must sort out quickly-or risk falling behind. In the world of Digital Consulting and Architecture, this is a hybrid position that, while having technical acumen, leverages it to provide the general solutioning and consulting across multidisciplinary programs. To be successful, you'll need an in-depth understanding of how Digital Technology transforms the experiences of customers, employees, and suppliers, and be able to apply it to support the transformation journey necessary across the IT and business landscape. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Consult directly with F200 clients to develop solutions for Digital Strategy, Enterprise Architecture Strategy, Data Strategy, Platform Modernization, Product Management, Automation and Service Management for complex digital and technology-based transformation programs that deliver business value.
  • Serve as a true management consultant, guiding clients in identifying the right IT sourcing strategies, demand management and optimization strategies, and achieving procurement transformation objectives; lead digital transformation programs.
  • Lead our clients through strategic transformations across digital architecture, data, product roadmap, product management, Agile delivery, service management, and business process services.
  • Lead large scale complex technology cross functional global programs
  • Assess clients' current IT organizations and define operating models which are aligned to business objectives (IT Organization Assessment, IT Governance, Workforce Optimization, IT Skill Assessment, IT Process Improvement, IT Portfolio Management, Project Prioritization, SDLC assessments, etc.)
  • Provide architecture & technology leadership experience; develop application blueprints and future state roadmap.
  • Lead and execute IT Strategy engagements following agile approach guide clients to successful business outcomes by identifying current IT trends, defining new business models and supporting IT capabilities needed to create competitive advantage.
  • Develop technology financial estimations and business case development.
  • Conduct and lead Application Portfolio Rationalization assessments to determine the best technology disposition of client's IT application portfolio.
  • Conduct IT Cost Optimization assessments to help IT leaders assess their IT budgets and identify cost optimization/ rationalization opportunities.
  • Support development of solution proposal responses and business development.
  • Develop practice capability decks pertaining to Technology Modernization areas.
  • Serve as a leader on the team, helping to upskill talent and invest in the next generation of Cognizant talent.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 20+ years of experience in Information Technology, with at least 15 of those years in a consulting or advisory capacity including significant consultative solution and business development experience gained from multiple sectors.
  • Expertise in at least 3 of these areas: Program Delivery Excellence, IT Strategy, Data Strategy, Enterprise Architecture Strategy & Transformation, Platform Modernization, Cloud solutions, Digital Change Management at Scale.
  • Knowledge of business and technology dependencies and ability to position service offerings and develop solutions accordingly.
  • Industry domain knowledge in Energy & Utilities, Healthcare, Life Sciences.
  • Experience or working knowledge of Design thinking, Agile, DevOps, Data and Advanced Analytics, enterprise solutions, and RPA, and ability to translate these to business-outcomes when positioning consulting engagements.
  • Experience in leading engagements related to data, service management, cloud migration, target operating models, process modernization, solution implementation, and IT business process re-engineering.
  • Passion for innovation, and the ability to influence and drive consensus with multiple stakeholders (internal and external).
  • Excellent professional judgement; strong communication skills.
  • Knowledge of cloud and data analytics with certification in AWS, Azure or GCP.
  • Experience in structuring and developing compelling digital product and service proposals.
  • The willingness and ability to travel up to 40%, depending on the project.
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's or MBA a plus.

Work Model

We believe hybrid work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role's business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in city, state. Regardless of your working arrangement, we are here to support a healthy work-life balance though our various wellbeing programs.

Work Authorization

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $162,000 - $257,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
