Title: Business and Quality Analyst

$80,000 - $100,000 / Posted Thru: 6/11/2025

Location: Hybrid - Must work and Live in the state of Michigan

Purpose: Works on small to medium Information Technology (IT) projects in order to implement automated solutions and/or assess IT systems. The Business and Quality Analyst will work under the supervision of the Business Analyst Manager and will be assigned to technology implementation or assessment projects, most often in public healthcare and government settings.



Duties and Responsibilities:

Business Analyst



  • Analyze policies and processes to understand impact on workflow and determine client IT needs.
  • Work with stakeholders to elicit and document their business, functional and technical requirements, maintaining appropriate audit trail for those requirements.
  • Resolve and document conflicting requirements.
  • Conduct gap analyses and create business cases.
  • Analyze complex data and provide meaningful interpretations of the results in the form of reports, graphs and other documents.
  • In conjunction with the technical team, analyze, recommend, and communicate proposed solutions.
  • Document applications, for both internal technical use and external user manuals, and provide user training on applications as needed.
  • Assist with IT proposal documentation and development.
  • Work with internal IT staff to ensure that applications developed meet client / stakeholder needs and expectations.



Quality Analyst



  • Perform IT testing for assigned projects.
  • Complete test plans and execution for system test tasks.
  • Develop and document a regression testing plan for all assigned projects.
  • Complete recording and uploading of scripts for automated testing. Work with automation developer to maintain automation suite for project.
  • Assist with test plans for client-based User Acceptance Testing.



Other



  • Assist in project scope management.
  • Maintain positive, strong and credible professional and interpersonal relationships with all parties associated with MPHI projects and represent the best interests of MPHI at all times.



Qualifications/Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree is required. A degree in information technology, business, public health, or another analysis-oriented field is preferred.

Experience: A minimum of 3 years of work experience in IT business analysis is required.

  • Proficiency in business process mapping software such as Microsoft Visio or the demonstrated ability to learn quickly.



Work Environment and Physical Requirements:MPHI is a standard office environment. May require viewing a CRT or VDT screen 25% to 75% of the time. May require a valid vehicle operator's license. May require moderate physical effort, including lifting materials up to 50 pounds.



RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE WORK OF OTHERS: No assigned responsibility.

IMPACT ON PROJECTS, SERVICES AND OPERATIONS: Business analysts have extended direct contact with customers. They function as subject matter experts and/or are responsible for the delivery of clear and useful deliverables. The quality of the work and the professionalism exhibited by the business analyst directly affects the reputation and perceived value of MPHI's services.
