The Opportunity
National Grid is hiring a Manager, Risk Management to join our Major Projects Team based in Syracuse, NY. The Role
The Manager, Risk Management will join the Major Project's team reporting directly to the Program Director (PMO) and be in a role that has significant strategic, financial, decision making, and leadership responsibilities. The Manager, Risk Management will work closely with other managers supporting major projects, playing a lead role in creating a best-in-class risk management program. What You'll Do
* Lead a team of specialists to develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive risk management strategies, frameworks, and tools for major transmission and substation projects * Provide training, guidance, and mentorship to project team members on risk management principles and best practices * Facilitate regular risk identification and assessment sessions with project teams, engineering, construction, and stakeholders * Perform qualitative and quantitative risk analysis, including cost and schedule risk assessments * Collaborate with Project Managers and cross-functional teams to develop risk mitigation plans and monitor risk triggers * Track and report on key risk indicators and trends across the project portfolio About You
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, or a related field required * 7+ years of experience in risk management, project management, preferably within the large construction projects required More Information Salary $150,000. - $177,000. a year This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills.
