Acentra Health is looking for a Systems Administrator, Specialist to join our growing team.

***This position is remote and On-call weekly rotation***

Job Summary:

The role of Network Engineer, Senior is to manage a dynamic AWS cloud-based network consisting of network resources that support multi-tiered HA/Clustered AWS Transit Routing, Firewalls, Load balancers and Monitoring capabilities using various cloud services within AWS. Other Services like Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, Cisco routers, and operating systems like windows and Linux operating systems are a possibility in an on-prem contract. This role involves coordinating with department team to plan, design, and schedule the release of all software and hardware, updates and upgrades. Network Engineer, Senior to work as a member of large technical team responsible for the design, development and implementation (DDI) of Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) for states like Michigan, Illinois, Utah, Washington and federal projects like OWCP, EDPS and VA-FSC. This high-volume system operates out of multiple data centers and cloud environments like AWS and Oracle. Must reliably be available to its clients.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Functions as an individual contributor and works under minimal supervision with wide latitude for independent judgment designing, implementing, and maintain the organizations' AWS Cloud Network and/or IT Infrastructure.
  • Provides day-to-day Network Engineer support to assigned Firewalls, Transit Routers and load balancer for new deployments of systems, test, and evaluation of hardware, maintains system documentation.
  • Provide an architectural framework for information network development, maintenance, and enhancement efforts.
  • Installs, configures, and maintains the organization's AWS Cloud strategy. Oracle Cloud experience is a plus.
  • Develop and manage policies on Cloud Checkpoint firewall and in on-prem Cisco ASA firewalls.
  • Configure and manage Big-IP F5 LTM4200 Appliances.
  • Configure and manage Blue Coat web proxy and AWS VPN tunnels;
  • Communicate frequently with senior level staff and customers on issues related to system administration; provide customer support as necessary.
  • Perform senior level technical skills in trouble shooting, cause, and resolution on Linux Servers in AWS Cloud.
  • Consult with users on issues relative to procedures, technical problems, and methodologies.
  • Develop and enhance processes and technical documentation; create back-up procedures, test plans and reports.
  • Maintain operating efficiency and stability, ensure the security and integrity of all systems and data, and respond to outages and other issues.
  • Read, understand, and adhere to all corporate policies including policies related to HIPAA and its Privacy and Security Rules.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree, or in lieu of a degree, equivalent related work experience.
  • A minimum of 8+ years' experience in Network infrastructure support.
  • A minimum of 3+ years' experience in public/private cloud technologies especially AWS.
  • A minimum of 6 years' recent extensive hands-on work experience with Network Administration.
  • Experience working with ITIL processes.
  • Work independently or as part of a team and have strong communication skills.
  • Expert knowledge with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a Network administration.
  • AWS VPC including transitive VPC, Direct Connect, VGW,VPN,IPSEC, Security groups, Network ACL, ASM, Routing: OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, RIP, PBR, Route-Filtering, Redistribution, Summarization, Static routing and multicast routing AAA Technologies: Ethernet, Frame Relay, MPLS VPN, HDLC, PPP, T1, T3, OC Standard Protocols: IP, TCP, UDP, ICMP, NAT, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, IPsec ,SSL, HTTP, SSH, SIP, RTP, QoS AAA.
  • Experience with Identity Providers (IdPs) for authentication, enabling Single Sign-On (SSO) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to enhance security and user access management.
  • On-call weekly rotation availability.

Preferred Qualifications/Experience:

  • Master's degree.
  • Certifications: CCIE (written) and CCNP certification.
  • Oracle Cloud experience.
  • Experience working in a healthcare/insurance project.
  • Experience working with State government projects.
