JOB FUNCTION / SUMMARY:

Provides advanced support for Private Banker(s) by delivering excellent customer service to Private Wealth Management clients while contributing to the overall goals and objectives of Wealth Management. Assists Private Banker(s) with maintaining and growing customer relationships and portfolios. Serves as a subject matter expert and mentor for Private Banking Administrator 1 position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides quality customer service while handling transaction requests, inquiries and maintenance on accounts; open new deposit accounts.
  • Builds rapport and become primary customer service contact for clients.
  • Recognizes sales opportunities and cross-sell bank products and services to customers utilizing various sales tools and resources (including but not limited to household lists and lead generation reports).
  • Prepares and submits complete loan packages to CCU and SBCU.
  • Updates banker on the status of loan as it moves through the approval process.
  • Reviews loan documentation prepared by another area and schedules loan closings with customers.
  • Assists officer in getting updated financial information and forwarding information to the credit file.
  • Engages attorneys to handle loan closings as necessary; works closely with attorneys and staff to ensure loan documentation is correct.
  • Coordinate with DAC to order appraisals, title commitments, hazard and flood insurance, payoffs as needed, etc. and verify receipt by DAC on a daily basis or as needed.
  • Attends loan closings as needed.
  • Reviews signed loan documents before forwarding to booking.
  • Assists banker with compiling information for certified financial plans and works as a liaison between the banker and the planning team.
  • Pulls monthly reports to assist officer in managing risk with loan and deposit portfolio by closely monitoring overdrafts, delinquencies, future maturities, and past dues.
  • Pulls monthly exception report to keep exceptions below standards and sends information to proper area to be cleared.
  • Assists officer with other duties as needed.
  • Attend Private Banker, departmental meetings, conference calls, and other meeting as needed.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE:

  • High School diploma/GED required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in commercial/consumer lending and/or client support function.
  • Thorough knowledge of loan documentation and related financial statements
  • Thorough understanding of ancillary services like treasury management, merchant services, card products, and wealth management; can support setup of products as needed
  • Expert in applicable banking systems along with the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn Commercial Account Analysis, Commercial Loan Systems and Commercial Loan Policy.
  • Thorough knowledge of Sales Pro and/or other lending workflows to assist banker in processing consumer loans
  • Thorough knowledge of the loan imaging system with the ability to load, maintain, archive, and retrieve credit file information
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and priorities beyond base line level for Private Banking Administrator1 position
  • This position requires National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) registration under the SAFE Act of 2008 within 12 months of hire

  • Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines
  • Ability to operate related equipment to perform the essential job functions
  • Ability to read and interpret a document if required to perform the essential job functions
  • Ability to travel if required to perform the essential job functions
  • Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 10 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions. If the employee is unable to lift/move/carry this weight and can be accommodated without causing the department/division an "undue hardship" then the employee must be accommodated; hence omitting lifting/moving/carrying as a physical requirement.
