A Process Operations Technician drives operational excellence in our advanced manufacturing facility, ensuring mission-critical aerospace and defense components meet the highest quality standards. Join a team where your attentin to detail directly contributes to national security initiatives!!


Responsibilities

  • Works from processing route cards, follows detailed process, procedures and/or verbal instructions to construct a variety of parts used for the production of antennae assemblies while meeting contractual requirements. This may include repetitive tasks such as creating lay-ups, sanding, sandblasting, etc.
  • Prepares tooling/fixturing used in the layup/manufacturing process.
  • Sets up and operates various types of equipment to support antenna processing while maintaining a safe working environment. These include but are not limited to; ovens, alignment and measuring equipment, exhaust hoods, sanding tables, air tools such as orbital sanders or die grinders and others as required.
  • Prepares ingredients, such as resins, catalysts, fillers, accelerators, and dyes, according to process instructions.
  • Laminates plastics, resins or pre-impregnated cloth onto layup mold or bonding fixture into shaped parts as trained and instructed by group lead.
  • Applies, cures and sands filler materials to remove pin-holes and imperfections in preparation for the painting process.
  • Wraps bonding fixture or molds in vacuum bagging materials, attaches fittings to molds or fixture, such as vacuum connections, thermocouples, and probes to exhaust air from vacuum bag to prepare lamination for curing or bonding as trained and instructed by group lead.
  • Cuts material to size using shears, knives, cutters, scissors, router, or saw.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Minimum 4 years' experience within the Manufacturing, Aviation/ Aerospace, Auto body, Paint, Composite, Fiberglass, or Marine industries. Preference given to those with previous experience working within the Aerospace/ Aviation industry.
  • High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
  • Experience with a PC windows environment.
  • This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a "US Person" under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Preferred:

  • 5 +years' experience within the Manufacturing, Aviation/ Aerospace, Auto body, Paint, Composite, Fiberglass, or Marine industries.
  • Experience maintaining sanding tables and air tools in accordance with instructions and procedures.
  • Experience reading and interpreting drawings and specifications.
  • Experience in the use of HVLP paint guns to performing finish coat painting in accordance to specifications where high-grade finishes is desirable.

Annual Range: $25.83 hr to $37.48 hr (Lansdale, PA). Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
