Process Engineer - Senior Level (Hybrid/Remote)

Summary: The person in this position will provide leadership and work with multidisciplinary project teams, providing process engineering and technical expertise related to hydrocarbons and other flammable fluids. Project assignments may include petroleum refining, chemical, or industrial process design, process safety, and engineering techniques. Tasks may include material and energy balances, instrumentation and control diagrams, modeling, developing process flow diagrams, writing reports and equipment specifications, estimating costs, and sizing process equipment. The work will also include management of projects and coordination with clients as well as opportunities for practice development, mentoring, and business development. Minimum Qualifications:

A hybrid or remote work arrangement may be considered for this position. A hybrid arrangement refers to splitting time worked between a Barr office and a home office; a remote arrangement refers working primarily from a home office.This position is/can be based out of Barr's Salt Lake City, Utah; Reno, Nevada; Bismarck, North Dakota; Duluth, Minnesota; or Ann Arbor, Michigan, offices. Compensation: The anticipated base salary range for this position is $115,000-$130,000/year. This position is classified as exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Compensation will vary based on relevant experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors. Employees in this position may also be eligible for a discretionary cash bonus based on team and individual performance. Barr has a "no retained earnings" model and distributes all its profit to our employees through our bonus plan and ESOP. NOTE: Some work locations may feature rough terrain typical of industrial sites and may also require entering and working in facilities that include limited accessibility, moving machinery, and other conditions typical of industrial facilities.
