Responsibilities

Forest View Hospital, located just seven miles southeast of downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan, is a private 108 bed psychiatric facility that serves children, adolescents and adults. We are licensed by the State of Michigan, fully accredited by The Joint Commission and we bring more than 45 years of experience to the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of behavioral health problems. As a part of our continued success and growth, we are seeking qualified applicants for an Executive Operations and Credentialing Specialist.

This position is responsible for providing administrative support to the Regional Vice President (VP) of Behavioral Health (BH). In addition, the position will manage the Michigan Healthcare Staffing credentialing, physician communication, and assist with recruitment. Key responsibilities include scheduling meetings, attending corporate, facility, and clinical meetings, coordinating and preparing reports, generating Excel spreadsheets, and gathering information from CEOs to integrate into reports for the VP's review. This position will also arrange travel, process expense reports, and support personnel-related matters as needed. This role requires maintaining the highest level of confidentiality and strict adherence to all applicable company policies and procedures.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Regional VP of BH to gather information, address inquiries, and prepare reports as requested.
  • Support the Business Development team by creating reports, drafting communications, preparing presentations, and running relevant analyses.
  • Execute travel planning, data collection, and report production, for the Regional VP of BH.
  • Oversee the full provider contract (CAM) process for all Michigan hospitals under the guidance of the MHS Administrator. Monitor Provider privileges to ensure compliance with necessary standards.
  • Manage IDS system credentialing by monitoring providers to ensure all credentials are current, assisting with credentialing processes as necessary.
  • Streamline HR onboarding with local hospitals, centralizing functions where possible. Manage HR for MHS employees not covered by local hospital HR, collaborating on investigations and employee matters.
  • Support the preparation for licensing and accreditation surveys and assist with quality/PI initiatives as needed.
  • Ensure vital updates and information are communicated to assigned Boards and Committees.
  • Manage LMS training completions, and annual competency requirements.
  • Lead the recertification process, initiating efforts 90 days in advance to avoid any gaps in certification.
  • Performs other duties as assigned/required by this position.

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Associates degree required, Bachelors degree preferred.
  • Three to Five years minimum of documented or related work experience is required. Five to Eight years preferred.
  • Proficency in Microsoft Office software.
