Join us as our new Automation Engineer

In this role you will have the opportunity to work closely with Supply Chain Operations to ensure processes operate smoothly and efficiently. You will design, implement, and maintain process control systems in support of production units, utilities, environmental operations, and supply chain operations. You will provide user and system level support for PI system data historian.

Welcome to Supply Chain Operations

Supply Chain Operations encompasses the final steps before our products ship to the customers. Primary processes are Finished Product Formulation, Liquid Product Packaging, Solid Product Packaging, site raw material receiving and logistics, warehousing, and shipping.

In this role you'll make an impact by:

  • Assisting in the design and layout of computer-based process control systems.

  • Coordinating and supervising the installation of process control hardware and software to assure Novonesis standards and quality levels are maintained.

  • Working with process engineers, supervisors, and maintenance personnel in developing improved process control strategies and in designing hardware and software systems to implement such strategies.

  • Maintaining the data-historian (PI) system to the existing Novonesis approved standard.

  • Troubleshooting SATT/800XA problems with production staff.

  • Being available on a call-in basis with other SATT/800XA support personnel to support 24-hour operation of the facility.

  • Implementing OT software and hardware solutions in critical infrastructure environments.

  • Understanding OT systems, protocols, architectures, and technologies, including industrial control systems (SCADA, PLC, DCS).

  • Installing and configuring cybersecurity packages including Managed Antivirus, SIEM, NSM, Threat Monitoring (Nozomi), Patch Management, Password Management, and Managed File Transfer.

To succeed you must hold:

  • BS degree or AAS +3yrs relevant experience. Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Automation engineering preferred

  • Familiarity with DCS programming and related hardware. 800XA and SATT preferred

  • Familiarity with OT software and hardware security solutions

  • Ability to move about in the processing areas and be able to climb stairs, and ladders.

Location: Franklinton, North Carolina

Expected Salary Range: $84,000 - $102,000
