Emergency Response: Yes - Must be available to perform a primary assignment in support of DTE's emergency response to storms or other events that impact service to our customers. Job Summary
An intermediate-level engineer is responsible for independently evaluating, selecting, and applying standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria. This role requires using judgment to recommend necessary adaptations and modifications. Typical responsibilities include engineering or scientific design, problem-solving, and providing technical support for the optimal operation and maintenance of company assets. The engineer collaborates with teams consisting of field employees, technicians, engineers, and other personnel. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in obtaining local and state environmental construction permits, particularly those related to soil erosion and sedimentation control (SESC), inland lakes and streams, floodplains, and joint permit applications (JPA). Additionally, the candidate should be knowledgeable about wetland regulations and the processes involved in wetland mitigation. Key Accountabilities
