This position supervises and directs the daily functions of the Commercial Accounts departments and is responsible for maintaining positive relationships with all location customers, developing new business and providing quality service. The Commercial Supervisor leads a team of employees who work with Manheim customers and location operational groups to ensure that the sale runs smoothly, both operationally and administratively

  • Schedule and oversee the sale preparation for commercial and customer accounts ensuring that accurate vehicle and account information is obtained.
  • Establish and maintain a good working relationship with account representatives and their staff.
  • Ensure all sales are properly posted to simulcast and validate accuracy of listed sales
  • Manage, review and support invoice collection for buyback vehicles and owed AR
  • Schedule sale for commercial accounts after completion of the pre-sale reconditioning and required paperwork.
  • Coordinate customer contact functions, such as redemptions, end of term lease, new car delivery and other customer inquiries.
  • Oversee and supervise clerical staff to ensure paperwork is processed accurately and provided to the customer in a timely manner.
  • Supervise the preparation of contracts, and pre- and post-sale reports as required by consignor.
  • Follow up on aging vehicles and monitor and records their status until they are scheduled for sale.
  • Verify that vehicle information is accurately recorded and vehicles are properly numbered for sale.
  • Monitor and make sure that changes to vehicles are posted timely and accurately and that vehicle records are maintain in compliance with contract requirements.
  • Increase level of consignment with existing customers.
  • Respond to customer issues where the Administrator does not have the authority and escalate when necessary.
  • Supervise and support team member management of arbitration vehicles
  • Supervise the work of commercial accounts staff by determining work procedures, preparing work schedules, expediting the workflow, assigning duties and examining work for accuracy and conformance to policies and procedures.
  • Council and discipline employees. Evaluate employee job performance and conduct performance appraisals.
  • Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such.
  • Work with manager to review work volumes, plan and continuously monitor staffing levels to ensure efficiency, quality work product, and effective customer service; review departmental performance against key performance indicators and metrics and develop and execute strategies for improvement.
  • Effectively leads the team at the location by setting an example in behavior, championing Cox/Manheim values and ensuring that all employees are treated with respect. Enforce all company policies and procedures related to employee and customer conduct.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.


QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum

  • High School Diploma/GED and 5 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 3 years' experience in a related field; a master's degree and 1 year of experience; or a Ph.D. and up to 1 year of experience
  • Requires strong leadership skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization


Preferred

  • Degree in related discipline strongly desired
  • Experience in auction industry desired


USD 54,200.00 - 81,400.00 per year

Compensation:

Compensation includes a base salary of $54,200.00 - $81,400.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Benefits:
