Summary:
Reporting directly to the Store Director, is responsible for accurate retail pricing, printing and hanging of price tags and signs. Ensures timely, accurate and efficient pricing of retail merchandise and maintains pricing integrity. Verifies prices and prints price tags and signs. Runs reports as required
Job Description:
  • Be customer and service oriented. Ensure prompt and courteous customer service.
  • Keep department manager/assistant manager/lead aware of concerns, issues, etc. warranting their attention, knowledge of, action and/or resolution in a timely manner.
  • Meet department productivity, policy, procedure, safety and quality requirements.
  • Enter and maintain database of product price and description. Delete discontinued items from price file.
  • Build and maintain any necessary batches at store levels for items not supported.
  • Audits price, implement corrections/ maintains sales pricing and/or prices changes as required. This includes scanning product price on shelf to item, running weekly reports on item maintenance done at store level, verifying the store and going over price discrepancies between warehouse and store on a monthly basis. Verify sale wall, displays, end caps and bunkers on Wednesdays (Ad change day).
  • Make signs and tags for all departments including vendors.
  • Ensure all displays and shippers are in the database system, signed and kept current on a weekly basis.
  • Place all weekly price change stickers and four-week stickers including preferred card shelf signs.
  • Run e-mail and distribute in proper mailboxes.
  • Support all departments to achieve store objectives.
  • Other duties as deemed necessary by department manager/assistant manager

  • Remember image is vital -therefore, good hygiene, wearing appropriate company apparel, name tag, hair nets where designated, and a smile is required. Remember, "Beat the Greet".
  • Meet position productivity, accuracy, and quality, dependability and physical requirements.
  • Abide by company and department policies, practices and procedures.
  • Understand that one's work schedule continues to be based upon store needs, the season, and includes working holidays, weekends, and varied work schedules and/or shifts, as warranted.
  • Able to work efficiently/effectively in a fast paced, multi-changing work environment and embrace change
  • Able to multi-task, learn computer programs and perform practices and procedures within a retail/grocery environment.
  • Be self-directed, results oriented, project a positive business image and lead by example.
  • Good attention to detail and follow through skills.

  • Meet department productivity, policy, standard operating procedures, quality and safety requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • 1+ year prior experience in a retail grocery environment desired
  • Excellent customer service skills
