Title: Developing Imaging Methods to Evaluate Human Skin and Myofascial Tissue Description: The Gerling Touch Lab at the University of Virginia invites applications for a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to lead cutting-edge research in developing imaging and force sensing methods for use in evaluating human skin and myofascial tissue. This position focuses on imaging using digital image correlation, human subjects experiments, and data and statistical analysis to monitor and assess human skin and myofascial tissue in response to soft tissue manipulation. The successful applicant will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop methods, software, and computational models and analyses. This is a full-time, in-residence position based in Charlottesville, VA. The initial appointment will end on 12/31/2025. The appointment may be renewed for an additional one year, contingent upon satisfactory performance and funding. The postdoctoral researcher will be housed in the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, advised by Dr. Gregory Gerling. Key Responsibilities:
