Job Description

Painter: 2nd Shift- Hours 2pm-10:30pm

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Understand, adhere, and demonstrate to the company's commitment to QUALITY and SAFETY!
  • Operate crane while adhering to safety regulations including but not limited to wearing a respirator and Tyvek coveralls at all times
  • Ensuring all work accomplished prior to processing has been completed and inspected before starting work
  • Ensuring all masking instructions have been incorporated and Quality verification has been accomplished prior to application of coatings
  • Ensuring shelf life of coatings has not been exceeded prior to mixing and use
  • Ensuring "time mixed, time sprayed, and pot life" of coatings are within specification requirements prior to application and recorded on the Shop Travelers
  • Ensuring "time out of anodize, time mixed, time sprayed, pot life, time in and out of bake" are recorded on the Shop Traveler (as required by Quality Assurance)
  • Ensuring test panels are available and coated with production parts (as required by specification and/or Quality Assurance)
  • Ensuring each job which is oven cured has been correctly logged onto the oven chart, i.e. customer name, purchase order number, "AP" batch number (fuel tank coated parts)
  • Verifying oven controllers are set at the correct curing temperature and the oven charts indicate the correct time in and time out
  • Ensuring that environmental conditions such as temperature and humidity are compliant as specified on the shop traveler prior to paint application
  • Understanding and proper use of applicable procedures, specifications, work instructions, etc.
  • Ensuring control of nonconforming / age controlled material in accordance with established procedures
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance according to shift-times or a pre-arranged work schedule
  • Completion of shop order after finishing process in timely manner
  • Perform other duties, as assigned
  • 6S and Housekeeping area

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma/GED

3+ Manufacturing/Aerospace preferred

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $25.00 to $30.00 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company's bonus multiple, based on the Company's performance in the applicable quarter . Employees will receive 80 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company's 401(k) plan.
This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)). To be qualified to work in this facility, a successful applicant must be a U.S. Person, as defined in those regulations, and able to supply evidence of that qualification prior to starting work or be authorized to receive controlled information under a specific license or permission from the relevant government agency.
