Director, Research Security Program Office Job ID JR101856 Date posted 06/03/2025 The Director of the Research Security Program Office (RSPO) is responsible for establishing and overseeing an integrated research security program. Research security is an essential element for Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) mission success. The National Security Presidential Memorandum 33 (NSPM-33) mandates the establishment of a research security program. Specifically, the memorandum requires covered research institutions, such as BNL, to certify that their research security program includes elements relating to cybersecurity, foreign travel security, research security training, and export control training, as appropriate. This position reports to the Lab's Deputy Director for Science & Technology. BNL's existing Export Control Office will report to this position and the Director will develop an integrated research security program to work with staff comprised of other program managers and support functions.
