Day to Day Duties:
-Working to produce UX content for Online Banking/authenticated space, redesigning desktop and mobile experience. -Content strategy, working closely with designers -In sprint planning working with designers -In design sessions. Playing a role with how content is laid out -Strategic. -Partnering with designers -May tweak and wordsmith existing content -May write new copy -Very familiar with financial services and how to drive action in -Digital UX content -Intangibles- collaboration working with different personalities, collaborate and communicate -Prioritize someone who has worked in financial services exp. -Understands legal risk and compliance. -Make complex legal jargon familiar We are seeking a talented and creative UX Content Strategist and Copywriter to join our dynamic digital team. In this role, you will craft clear, concise, and engaging copy that enhances user experiences across digital products, including websites, apps, and other interactive platforms. You will collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and CX strategists to create copy that not only aligns with brand voice and tone but also drives user actions and simplifies complex interactions. Key Responsibilities *Collaborative Content Creation: Work with UX/UI designers, product managers, and CX strategists to create copy for user interfaces (UI), such as buttons, navigation menus, error messages, forms, and onboarding flows, tailored to the financial services industry. *User-Centered Copywriting: Use insights from user research and data analysis to craft copy that addresses user pain points, enhances understanding of financial products, and ensures clarity and ease of use across all digital touchpoints. *Simplifying Complex Concepts: Translate complex financial terminology and concepts into clear, digestible content for a wide range of users, ensuring that it resonates with both novice and experienced customers. *Brand Voice Consistency: Maintain a consistent brand voice that aligns with Brand and Marketing across all financial services platforms while adapting the writing style to suit the unique context of various digital environments (websites, mobile apps, emails, etc.). *Content Strategy and Planning: Collaborate with strategists, designers, product managers, and internal client stakeholder groups to define content strategies for financial products that align with Brand and Marketing standards. Prioritize content that aligns with user needs, business goals, and regulatory/legal/risk requirements, creating cohesive messaging across platforms. *User Testing and Feedback Integration: Leverage user feedback, analytics, and A/B testing results to refine and optimize copy for better usability and user engagement, particularly in the context of financial decision-making. *Accessibility Focus: Ensure that all copy is clear, accessible, and easy to understand for diverse user groups, adhering to web accessibility standards (WCAG) and financial regulations to enhance the experience for all users. *SEO Best Practices: Implement SEO best practices in financial product copy to improve visibility and engagement while ensuring content remains user-friendly, transparent, and compliant with industry guidelines. *Copy Approvals: Facilitate reviews, feedback loops, and approval cycles for copy with client stakeholder stakeholders and committees to meet timeline and needs across multiple delivery teams. *Continuous Improvement: Stay informed on the latest trends in UX writing, financial services regulations, and user experience best practices. Bring fresh perspectives and ideas to continually enhance content quality and user satisfaction. Qualifications *Experience: 5+ years of experience as a UX Copywriter, Content Designer, or similar role, with a focus on financial services, fintech, or other regulated industries. Proven ability to write clear, user-centered copy for digital financial products. *Writing Skills: Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to distill complex financial information into simple, user-friendly language that enhances the user experience. *Financial Services Expertise: Strong understanding of the financial services industry, including regulations (e.g., GDPR, FCA, SEC), financial products (e.g., banking, insurance, investments), and the language used within these sectors. *UX and Design Knowledge: Expertise in user-centered design principles, user flows, wireframes, and digital content best practices. Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to create intuitive, accessible digital experiences. *User Research: Experience using user research, testing data, and analytics to inform content decisions and optimize copy for user needs and financial literacy. *Collaboration Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with product teams, designers, developers, compliance officers, and other stakeholders. *Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail in both writing and design, ensuring consistency, clarity, and accuracy across all financial copy and digital touchpoints. *Tools & Software: Proficiency in content management systems (CMS), wireframing tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch), and familiarity with basic HTML/CSS. Experience with user testing tools and A/B testing is a plus. *Education: A degree in English, Communications, Marketing, UX Design, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
