Intern, Technical Undergraduate Year-Round - Electromagnetic Systems and Qualification, Onsite

What Your Job Will Be Like:

We are seeking a Year Round - Technical Undergraduate Intern to join out dynamic team.

On any given day, you may be called on to:

• Support engineering technologists and staff conducting experiments including instrumentation specification and set up, diagnostics, and laboratory equipment control.

• Assist with data analysis and test documentation.

• Participate in general laboratory stewardship such as ES&H and security responsibilities, maintaining work-control documentation, managing property, coordinating instrument calibration and repair, and occasionally coordinating building-related activities with facilities personnel.

• Work in a dynamic small team environment and manage time according to work demands.

Salary Range:

Our pay structure is based on earned credit hours, classification, and degree level. Your pay rate will be determined during the hire process and included in your offer package. Qualifications We Require:

You bring the confidence and skills to be eligible for the job by meeting these minimum requirements:

• Currently attending and enrolled full time in a related accredited undergraduate program

• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0

• Ability to work up to 25 hours per week during the academic year, and up to 40 hours per week during the summer

• Ability to secure and maintain a U.S. security clearance which requires U.S. citizenship

Note: If you have not earned a HS diploma or equivalent, please apply to a high school intern position.

Qualifications We Desire:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Q clearance along with Sigma 15 (handle and be a custodian of classified materials)

With focus on electromagnetic (EM) environments, Department 1313 provides analysis, design guidance, and experiments in support of nuclear weapon qualification in normal, abnormal, and hostile environments, as well as research and development for advanced electronics that can operate through these environments. Department 1313 manages test facilities in TA-IV, which include Reverberation Chambers (RC), GigaHertz Transverse Electromagnetic Cells (GTEM), and a Semi-Anechoic Chamber (SAC).

Security Clearance:
