Summary
Balfour Beatty is seeking a Senior Marketing Project Lead to join our Texas division. This individual will have the option of living in Austin or Dallas. The Senior Marketing Project Lead manages marketing and communications projects such as proposals, presentations, advertising, brochure development, events, direct mail or other marketing campaigns. This individual also ensures adherence to company policies, consistency in message, and coordination of efforts in alignment with the Balfour Beatty Corporation brand. The Senior Marketing Project Lead provides support services for acquiring new business and for internal and external communications.
Essential Functions
- Assists the Marketing Manager or Director with department administration activities (work flow and processes, delegating responsibilities among team members).
- Leads the preparation of responses to requests for proposals, qualifications, and other information required (schedule, plan, strategy, strip out assignments and follow-up, editing, kickoff/status meeting schedule, review, etc.).
- Assists with responses to requests for proposals, qualifications, and other information required.
- Works with executives and business unit leaders to support company's visibility in target markets.
- Contributes ideas and development in the strategic planning process.
- Manages budget and financial accountability for projects as assigned.
- Improves, refines and updates boilerplate proposal information and presentations on a continual basis.
- Coordinates with team to ensure efficiencies in sharing and archiving resumes, proposals, presentations, boilerplate, graphics, debriefs, etc.
- Assists with presentation strategies.
- Establishes and maintain relationships with outside vendors including photographers, design consultants, printers and suppliers to support in-house resources.
- Establishes and maintain relationships with owner and design team partners in pursuing projects, responding to client requests, and coordinating events (team kick-off meetings, design-build proposals, final photography, award submittals, press release and direct mail review, etc.).
- Leads in internal and external communications projects including awards nominations, new people announcements, newsletter, website and direct mail, as assigned.
- Coordinates photo shoots (people and projects).
- Actively participates in industry association to professionally represent and promote Balfour Beatty either by committee involvement or committee/association leadership.
- Provides training and guidance to and review work of marketing coordinator(s) and/or senior marketing coordinator(s).
- Participates in Vision updates and maintenance.

Education, Experience, and Knowledge
- BS in Marketing/Communications or a related field plus a minimum of seven years of experience preferred, or a minimum of 10 years of similar experience in a related field.
- Able to make decisions under tight deadlines and in the face of incomplete information.
- Able to organize people, tools, equipment, and other resources and orchestrate multiple activities at once to accomplish desired results.
- Able to create, manage, and revise schedules and related assignments based on priorities while considering work/life balance for self and others.
- Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication and organization skills.
- Demonstrated project management skills such as planning, budgeting, scheduling, resourcing, implementing, measuring outcomes, etc.
- Able to build constructive and effective relationships, put others at ease and establish rapport; relate to all kinds of people at all levels inside and outside the organization.
