The Strategic Sourcing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies that support both new product introductions and existing production across external manufacturing partners. This individual will manage supplier relationships, optimize spend, and ensure contract manufacturers meet performance, quality, compliance, and delivery requirements. Salary starting at $110K Education/Experience Requirements - Strategic Sourcing Manager, Medical Device Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration or similar required; Master's degree preferred 5 years in-depth strategic and operational Sourcing experience in manufacturing Knowledge of Quality-Systems related to ISO 9001:2015, ISO13485:2016 is a plus Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM), Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) is a plus Good knowledge of production techniques and processes Experience working with contract manufacturers Ability to work in a regulated environment (medical devices) Solid Microsoft Office experience required Experience with NetSuite preferred Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities Experience working in an environment with global objectives Travel up to 30 % of the time Position Responsibilities - Strategic Sourcing Manager, Medical Device Manage supplier portfolio Accountable for contribution to the global Direct Material & Supply Base Performance Represent assigned categories within the local Medaxis organization Accountable for the setting of and achievement of the objectives of cost optimization and supply base optimization Provide forward looking guidance on trends, threats and opportunities Achieve the defined top down target for Direct Material 3rd party spend Assure the bottom up alignment of the sourcing activities with the Business Unit targets Interface to R&D for Sourcing activities along with the Product Development and Innovation process Act as a change agent regarding main stakeholders Ensure consistent application of all sourcing levers Pilot Sourcing KPIs Ensure compliance and application of sourcing process Support continuous improvement of direct material practices Supply base risk management This is not a job description.
