Position Summary |
The School of Nursing seeks an Executive Assistant to serve as Simulation Services Coordinator to support our simulation center. The Simulation Services Coordinator (
SSC) works in a team-based environment to support the current Director of
EISLE in the day-to-day operations of
EISLE (Education Innovation Simulation Learning Environment).
The
SSC manages various tasks that contribute to the University's overall mission, ensures effective communication and collaboration among faculty, staff, and students, and promotes a positive working environment. This position encompasses a wide range of administrative duties essential for the smooth operation of
EISLE. The
SSC interacts professionally with internal and external customers and assists with special projects. The
SSC schedules and communicates simulation activities while maintaining a simulation/lab schedule for each semester by managing the simulation schedule intake forms. This position involves office work and hands-on work in the simulation lab, requiring frequent transport of supplies and equipment between different lab spaces, including lifting/moving lab equipment, and supporting simulation and training activities with the
EISLE team.
Additionally, the role involves reconciling P-Card transactions (when applicable), purchasing supplies, and maintaining budget records for
EISLE. The
SSC also contributes to strategic planning efforts within
EISLE and performs other duties as assigned, making this a dynamic and integral role. |
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
High school diploma or equivalency and three years of progressively responsible administrative/office management experience; or Associate's degree in secretarial science, business administration, or a related discipline and one year of progressively responsible administrative/office management experience ; or Bachelor's degree, preferably in business administration or a related discipline; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. |
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) to interact with and work effectively with students, staff, faculty, community partners, and vendors in a positive, helpful, and cooperative working relationship
* Experience in MS Office (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and the ability to learn additional software programs as needed
* Organizational, project, and time management skills to keep materials in order, track various projects, maintain files, and follow through on assignments to completion
* Ability to create and maintain complex schedules
* Communicate timely and escalate unresolved issues to the supervisor or appropriate person(s) |
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
* Experience in a healthcare setting
* Proficiency in Learning Management System (Canvas) |
Required Licenses/Certifications |

* Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. with assistance on an occasional basis with or without an accommodation
* Ability to work safely around healthcare devices (i.e., sharps and other various healthcare equipment) with or without an accommodation |
Campus Security Authority Responsibilities |
This position is designated as a Campus Security Authority in accordance with the Clery Act. This position will be required to report Clery crimes to the Clery Compliance Manager and complete annual training about reporting responsibilities. |
