How you'll make an impact:

The Consumer Insights Analyst will play a key supporting role in helping SiriusXM and Pandora better understand our listeners and the broader audio marketplace. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is eager to grow their research skills and contribute to high-impact projects across the business.

You'll support a range of consumer research initiatives-including quantitative (surveys and advanced analytics) as well as qualitative (interviews, focus groups)-designed to explore customer behaviors, preferences, and perceptions. Working alongside more senior team members, you'll help execute studies, analyze results, and summarize key insights that inform business decisions across marketing, brand, product, and strategy. Your work will support the development of stronger product experiences, more effective marketing, and a deeper understanding of our audience.

What you'll do:

  • Support Research Execution:
    • Assist in the development and execution of quantitative surveys and qualitative research (e.g., interviews, focus groups) to understand customer behaviors, brand perceptions, and marketing effectiveness.
    • Contribute to project management by helping track timelines, deliverables, and next steps to ensure research is executed on time and on brief.
    • Coordinate with internal colleagues and external research vendors to support project logistics, material development, fieldwork, and reporting.
    • Help draft survey questionnaires, discussion guides, and other research materials with input from senior team members.
  • Analyze and Report Insights:
    • Clean and organize research data, identify trends, and help uncover meaningful insights that inform key business decisions.
    • Contribute to written reports and visual presentations that clearly communicate both qualitative and quantitative findings to stakeholders.
    • Support more advanced analysis as needed, such as driver models, MaxDiff, and conjoint studies, under guidance from senior team members.
  • Improve Tools and Processes:
    • Assist with maintaining research best practices for survey design, qualitative interviewing, and data interpretation.
    • Stay informed on industry trends and evolving research methodologies to help the team continuously improve.
  • Learn and Grow:
    • Take advantage of opportunities to deepen your skills in both quantitative analysis (e.g., segmentation, tracking studies) and qualitative techniques (e.g., thematic analysis of interviews).
    • Contribute to a collaborative and curious team culture that values evidence-based decision-making.

What you'll need:

  • Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Psychology, Economics, Statistics, Business, or a related field.
    • 1+ years of experience in consumer insights, market research, or a related analytical role.
    • Exposure to both quantitative (e.g., surveys, segmentation, conjoint) and qualitative (e.g., interviews, focus groups) research methods.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
    • Familiarity with survey platforms (e.g., Qualtrics, Suzy) and experience working with research datasets.
    • Basic knowledge of statistical tools (e.g., SPSS, R, or Python) and/or data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
  • Analytical and Strategic Skills:
    • Ability to organize and analyze research data with attention to detail.
    • Interest in learning how to synthesize both qualitative and quantitative insights into clear takeaways.
    • Comfortable juggling multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with teammates and stakeholders.
    • Open to feedback and committed to developing your research toolkit.
  • Personal Attributes:
    • Passion for understanding consumer behavior and using research to drive impact.

At SiriusXM, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be in the range of $62,000.00 to $80,000.00 and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
