Inova's Patient Registration Float Pool Team is looking for a dedicated Patient Registration Team Member to join the team. This will be a full-time evening/overnight shift supporting the Central Region (Fairfax, Fair Oaks, Fairfax City & Reston) between 3:00 p.m. - 11:30 p.m. & 11:00 p.m. - 7:30 a.m. This role will be responsible for travelling to various hospitals and outpatient practices within the Fairfax, Fair Oaks, Fairfax City & Reston areas as required.

Float Pool Patient Registration Job Responsibilities:



  • Supports scheduling undertakings by conducting pre-service activities such as insurance verification and submission.
  • Troubleshoots individual admission issues in collaboration with other departments and/or team members.
  • Explains insurance benefits and patient liability by using appropriate communication methods/styles.
  • Identifies and communicates payroll authorization and referral requirements.
  • Manages assigned work queues to ensure that errors are corrected.


Minimum Qualifications:



  • Experience: 2 years of healthcare patient access experience or customer service experience
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
