JOB TITLE: Human Resources Business Partner, HR/LR

Position Summary
The Human Resource Business Partner is responsible for the overall management of the human resource processes and practices within an assigned Division, providing counsel on procedure and policy interpretation, talent and performance management, retention strategies, employee relations issues, and federal, state and local employment laws. He/she operates with sufficient independence to ensure objectivity and fairness for employees while working closely as a trusted business partner with leadership located across his/her assigned Division. This position will advise Division leadership in all administrative processes. This position will be an integral role in aligning the people and culture to support LCEC's business goals and objective. The HR/Labor Relations Business Partner is also responsible for maintaining LCEC's labor relations program.

Position Responsibilities



  • Serves as the HR subject matter expert to managers and employees and establishes HR as a credible and trustworthy resource


  • Responsible for all HR activities within assigned Division(s) and ensuring HR is providing customer-oriented service to the business including talent management and organizational effectiveness


  • Advances union and employee relations by assisting in interpreting the union contract and company policies, using win-win problem solving conflict resolution techniques, helps facilitate and administer the grievance process as well as disciplinary policy and procedures


  • Manages programs, policies, and procedures to support the organizational culture


  • Fosters a positive, diverse and inclusive culture through education, communication, and initiatives


  • Coaches managers and others to achieve maximum potential and counsels leaders and employees on day to day employee issues, policies, practices and concerns


  • Facilitates performance management through coaching, systems and processes to include succession planning


  • Develops and coordinates learning and development plans to transfer knowledge and provide career growth


  • Communicates and applies policy and procedures across organization and recommends changes to support business needs


  • Conducts investigations of workplace policy violations and mediates difficult employee relations issues


  • Serves as a team leader for organizational initiatives and implements change


  • Gathers and reports HR metrics including key performance indicators to assess and improve HR service


  • Supports managers in organizational structure and partners with the same to fulfill talent needs for the organization


  • Partner with organizational managers to strategize to increase employee engagement


  • Responsible for process leadership within the HR department in one or more of the following disciplines: recruiting, compensation and performance, labor/employee relations


Education



  • Bachelor's Degree Human Resources or Business-related field. (Required)


  • Master's Degree business or related field (Preferred)


Experience



  • 7+ to 10 Years related HR experience required (Employee Relations, Labor Relations, Benefits Counseling, Recruiting, Compensation, Employment Law, Training & Development) (Required)


  • 10+ to 15 Years experience in HR Business Partner role (Required)


  • 2+ to 5 Years experience implementing and maintaining a company's labor relations programs, policies, and procedures, to include participating in labor contract negotiations (Required)


  • 2+ to 5 Years strategic experience (Required)

  • Demonstrated experience in facilitating or leading training (Required)

  • Proficiency in MS Office to include Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint (Required)

Licenses and Certifications



  • PHR or SHRM-CP Upon Hire (Preferred)


  • Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR)-HRCI or other HR related certifications Upon Hire (Preferred)


Additional Licenses and Certifications



  • Labor Relations Certification Upon Hire (Preferred)
