Job Description

Position Summary:

The Human Resources Administrator provides daily HR support to the facility in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. This support includes but is not limited to recruiting hourly and salaried employees to meet plant staffing requirements, including compliance with affirmative action plan requirements and I-9's. This individual is also responsible for the new hire onboarding process, including orientation, benefits administration, and employee record keeping in the office.

Essential Functions:

  • Recruit qualified candidates for all hourly and salaried positions to meet plant production requirements.
  • Work closely with HR team to conduct investigations into employee complaints, develop and implement solutions as appropriate.
  • Maintain corrective action files and tracking sheets for HR department.
  • Prioritize and coordinate a wide variety of tasks and activities of the Human Resource department which may include compensation reviews, performance evaluations and benefits administration.
  • Manage the administration of FMLA including determining eligibility, notification, tracking and going through the second and third opinion process when applicable.
  • Greet and welcome visitors, applicants, and employees into the HR office ensuring appropriate triage of questions asked.
  • Utilize best recruiting practices, reduce plant turnover and overall recruiting costs.
  • Coordinate employee and community events promoting employee engagement and community envolvement.
  • Organize, create, and maintain tracking data regarding measurables in HR, including but not limited to Absenteeism, Turnover, corrective action process, and any other items needed to improve the performance of the facility.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations and priorities.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in spreadsheet; financial; and production planning and tracking applications.

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

Experience & Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related field preferred. MS or MBA degree is highly desirable.
  • Prefer 1+ years' experience in a Human Resources or related role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience leading people and obtaining results through others, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)).
