Job Description:

The Category Leader - IDM role is an individual contributor whose focus is to support the Category Director in managing gas and chemical sourcing strategies and supplier relationships across our global operations. This role combines analytics, internal and external communication, task execution, and negotiation support to drive cost and performance improvements.

This Job Is For You If:

Support the Category Director in implementing the 7-step strategic sourcing process for the gas and chemical categories as follows:

  • You can identify sourcing needs: Analyze the Tower's global needs and past spending patterns.
  • You can supply market analysis: evaluating risks, opportunities, cost drivers (e.g., raw materials, transport).
  • You can develop sourcing strategy and with data analytics and cross-functional collaboration; define RFP/RFQ processes and supplier performance metrics.
  • You can use market research and supplier analysis to identify suitable suppliers and make selections per the selection criteria. Using the data gathered in steps 1-4, establish aggressive opening price positions and targets that will be achieved to gauge a successful negotiation.
  • You can negotiate with suppliers: Help to Plan and execute the negotiation with the down selected suppliers. This includes strategy, questions, positions, and trade-offs.
  • You can execute and integrate: Make sure that the vendor, internal end-customers, and everyone who is affected by the process is involved in the design and execution of the solution. Smooth execution by involving stakeholders and maintaining transparent communication.
  • You can benchmark and track results: Focus on supplier relationship management, data analysis, and process optimization to validate cost savings and execution efficiency and effectiveness.
  • You can coordinate global category team meetings and follow up on cross-site initiatives.
  • You can drive cost reduction and process improvements with internal partners.
  • You can monitor market trends and risks; suggest improvements in cost, quality, and supply reliability.
  • You can lead key tasks such supplier scorecards, and RFQ processes.
  • You can lead key tasks like supplier scorecards, RFQs, and agreement renewals/creations.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Technical background and familiarity with Semiconductor Fabrication.
  • 2-4 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supplier management.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills (English).
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Strong Microsoft office skills (Excel, Word, Power Point).
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workloads.
  • This is an on-site position - must be able to work in person at Tower's location on a daily basis.

Compensation Range

Level 1 - Level 3

$66,500 - $91,700
