The UMKC School of Medicine is a partner of the UMKC Health Sciences District. The University of Missouri - Kansas City invites application and nominations for the Margaret Suzanne Neal Endowed Chair in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. This prestigious position will be filled at the rank of Associate or Full Professor with tenure. The successful candidate will have interest and technical skill in the application of artificial intelligence to orthopaedics. This is intentionally left broad to keep open ideas for growth at the discretion of the candidate. Areas of interest of current clinical faculty include, but not limited to, natural language processing, imaging analysis, big data analytics, and predictive modeling. The Endowed Chair will report directly to the Chair of Orthopaedic Surgery. This is a 12-month, ranked faculty appointment eligible for tenure and continuous appointment. The desired start date is September 1, 2025, or another mutually agreed upon date. Our academic schedules and workload promote a positive work/life balance. Qualifications

Anticipated Hiring Range
We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package. The anticipated salary range for this role is $150,000-200,000 annually. Start-up funds are available to match needs Application Materials
