The Transportation Engineer assists with designs, prepare plans and estimates for transportation, traffic, facilities, traffic control devices and highways.

Description of Essential Duties:



  • Design and Plan Implementation for traffic, facilities, transportation, utilities, municipal streets, traffic control devices and highway projects
  • Prepare quantities and cost estimates
  • Assist with preparation of local, state, and federal permit applications
  • Prepare meeting visuals (Utility Coordination, etc.)


Qualification Requirements:



  • Master's Degree in Civil Engineering
  • 1-year of work in civil engineering position
  • Experience with MicroStation
  • Experience working on transportation and roadway design projects
  • Experience on IDOT and CDOT projects
