Scope of role Responsibility within the PES business segment for maintaining existing electronic components as well as assessing electronic components for new designs, including alternative selections for supply assurance and material cost out, hardware documentation, qualification/validation testing, and production and quality support. Key Responsibilities
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS Required Education / Experience / Skills: - Bachelors of Science in Electrical or Computer engineering - 1+ years relevant experience and/ or internship experience - Familiar with mixed analog and digital circuits - Knowledge and understanding of key characteristics of major electronic components (resistor, inductor, capacitor, diode, BJT, Mosfet, IGBT...) - Experience with simulation software for the analysis of electronic designs - Experience with and understanding of circuit schematics and component specifications - Experience with testing and troubleshooting electronics - High level of personal initiative, energy, and sense of ownership - Self-directed and self-motivated with a track record of execution - Skilled in organizing, prioritizing and coordinating working relationships with all levels of personnel within and outside of the organization - Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously - Experience with technical report writing and presentations - Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.) Desired Qualifications: - Familiar with RoHS and EHS guidelines - Familiar with test procedures for EMI, hipot, electrical transients, ESD - Familiar with agency testing (e.g. UL) - Broad exposure to all types of electronic components, including power & signal, analog & digital, surface mount & thru-hole, printed circuits & coatings - Experience with handling high voltage circuity - Experience with evaluating reliability of electronic circuits - Experience with electronic component selection - Experience with the design of electronic circuits - Six Sigma Training/Certification (Green Belt / DFLSS) Benefits
