18 Position Summary
The Asset Manager provides performance monitoring, reporting, guidance, and support for assigned CPS Energy owned and contract generation assets along with any generation assets operated by CPS Energy. Specific duties include providing data collection, validation, trending, performance analysis and reporting in support of commercial optimization. Under the direction of the Sr Director, Asset Management, the Asset Manager will work closely with plant teams, Business Systems, Market Operations, Compliance, Environmental, Regulatory Affairs, and other groups / agencies / businesses as needed to support ongoing asset operations and performance optimization. The Asset Manager will support assigned asset due diligence evaluations, including community engagement functions in support of generation planning and procurement. Tasks and Responsibilities
Minimum Skills Minimum Knowledge and Abilities
Comprehensive yrs of exp in electric power industry, including demonstrated responsible exp in wholesale power market operations, energy marketing, independent system operations, power or gas trading, or management of a Qualified Scheduling Entity (QSE).
Working knowledge of ERCOT protocols, PUCT guidelines, and North American Electric Reliability Council (NERC) standards.
Working knowledge of power generation plants, technologies, fuel economics, load forecasting analytics, utility cost accounting and Operations Technology (OT) systems.
Operates successfully in ambiguous situations where success is not pre-determined.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with customers, business leaders, management, and matrix team members.
Excellent problem solving and thought leadership skills; able to see the big picture and bring in other areas of the company as needed, but also to "dive deep" when appropriate.
Ability to proactively identify risks, collaboratively problem solve, and routinely communicate status (positive or negative).
Strong people and demonstrated leadership skills with bias for a collaborative working style.
Proven track record of driving process improvements and wholesale power market strategies.

Must pass and maintain NERC-related background check.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Package, including word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation software, electronic mail, and scheduling.
Possess a valid driver's license with a history of a safe driving record in accordance with CPSE policies, procedures, safety standards, and applicable laws and regulations. Preferred Qualifications
