This high visibility, mission-critical role will lead and direct multi-site manufacturing and engineering operations to secure our position as an industry leader. The ideal candidate brings a broad background across manufacturing, supply chain, and R&D, along with proven success leading large-scale manufacturing transformations. This executive must blend strategic thinking with hands-on execution, navigating complex, fast-moving environments with precision.
This role reports to the President & CEO and is part of the Executive Leadership Team. Direct reports include:
- 3 Manufacturing Site Leaders
- Engineering & Advance Operations Leaders
- VP, Supply Chain and Integrated Business Planning
- Dedicated HR and Finance Partners
Location: Based at one of our U.S. manufacturing sites (Utica, NY or Largo, FL) or remote (Eastern U.S.), with significant travel (50-70%) expected. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead global manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain strategies that drive the company's mission and vision.
- Serve as the architect and champion of manufacturing transformation efforts, including performance turnarounds, modernization, and scalability.
- Build and develop a world-class operations leadership team committed to excellence, innovation, and talent development.
- Foster a high-performance culture focused on engagement, continuous improvement, and ethical behavior.
- Drive operational excellence by identifying and implementing opportunities for efficiency, standardization, and synergy across manufacturing sites and supporting functions.
- Partner with R&D and commercial teams to support successful New Product Introductions (NPI) and ensure manufacturing readiness.
- Provide strategic guidance and leadership by example to ensure productivity, accountability, and quality.
- Collaborate on operational infrastructure needs-systems, processes, and people-to enable scalable, growth-oriented execution.
- Champion and sustain a strong safety and compliance culture.
- Lead the development and execution of the annual manufacturing budget and long-term planning initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering, or related field; advanced degree strongly preferred.
- 15+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing, with direct experience leading transformation efforts and hands-on site management.
- Experience managing one or more medical device manufacturing sites is required.
- Demonstrated success leading multi-site operations, preferably across global locations.
- Working knowledge of how manufacturing operations integrate with supply chain-from sourcing to delivery. Ability to make informed decisions based on supply chain impacts.
Preferred Qualifications & Familiarity:
- Experience supporting or scaling New Product Introductions (NPI).
- Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain planning, including demand forecasting and fulfillment.
- Remote leadership experience and success managing distributed teams.
- Proven cross-functional collaboration with R&D, Quality, HR, and Commercial organizations.
