The position supports empirical research on global supply chains, trade, and economic security using state-of-the-art neural network-based mapping data from a leading data analytics firm.

The ERS Fellow will work with department faculty supporting and conducting scholarly research in anticipation of advancing their skills and experience to prepare for the next stage of their careers. Applicants should be enthusiastic about independent quantitative research, eager to contribute to high-impact academic and policy work, and excited to engage with the broader community of Dartmouth scholars working at the intersection of economics, international trade, and global security.

The ERS Fellow's responsibilities include:

  • Use SQL and Python to extract, clean, and analyze large-scale supply chain datasets.

  • Create visualizations and prepare internal documentation and literature reviews.
  • Coordinate with faculty and collaborators and support project logistics.

This position is full-time with a start date as early as August 25, 2025. The appointment will be for 1 year, with possibility of renewal for a second year. This position is eligible for remote or hybrid arrangements.

Fellows who are working in residence in Hanover, NH are eligible for Graduate Special Student status and the ability to take certain Dartmouth courses with the tuition paid by Dartmouth as a working condition fringe benefit. The benefit covers a maximum of 1 course per academic year the fellow is employed at the College.
