PRN I First Shift

The Radiology team at Baptist Health works together to provide the highest level of care for every patient. Our staff includes fellowship-trained radiologists, radiologic technologists, ultra sonographers and nuclear medicine technologists. From helping you prepare for your tests to listening carefully to your questions and clearly explaining everything you need to know, you'll appreciate our careful attention and support.

Description:

  • Proficiency with EEG software and integration into Epic and HL7 systems.
  • Must be available for on-call responsibilities. Work schedule may change to accommodate workflow of the department.
  • Performs quality routine and complex EEGs to obtain data for use in the diagnosis of clinical disorders, processing reports, patient education.
  • Perform high-quality, non-invasive neurodiagnostic procedures, including EEG and long-term monitoring.
  • Demonstrate competence in proper electrode placement, artifact recognition, and resolution.
  • Prepare and maintain equipment for studies, ensuring proper patient preparation and education.
  • Communicate effectively with clinical staff regarding procedures and findings.
  • Record and report EEG results, identifying changes in baseline and discussing them with the physician.
  • Ensure patient skin integrity and educate patients on procedures.
  • Manage necessary paperwork, documentation, and scheduling for studies.
  • Provide excellent customer service, addressing patient and family concerns and ensuring a smooth experience.
  • Assist with daily equipment maintenance, cleaning, and departmental clerical tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree.
  • Satisfactory completion of an accredited education program in sonography or equivalent.
  • Current certification by American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or eligible.
  • Must obtain ARDMS certification in Abdomen and OB-Gyn. If not certified upon hire, must obtain certifications within one year of hire.
  • Less than one year.
  • Current CPR for Healthcare Providers.
